This potent social drama centers on a Greek journalist whose dead father is venerated for his anticommunist heroics during the civil war of the late 1940s. When he discovers not only that his father might still be alive but also that he might have defected to the other side, the journalist embarks on an odyssey that leads him through Eastern Europe to a final revelation of the unexpected truth.
